Brewer’s Best Ingredient Packages

These kits include nearly everything you need to make 5 gallons of excellent beer: malt syrup, dried malt extract, brewing additives, grains, hops, yeast, priming sugar, caps, and instructions. Ingredients (and therefore the weight of the kit) will vary depending on beer style. The malt syrups are made by John Bull or Munton’s & the dried malt extracts are from Munton’s. These kits are excellent for gifts because everything is included - except equipment, of course!

Amber Cerveza Style (XX)

This recipe combines light and amber malts along with rice syrup for a full-bodied brew with a smooth hop finish.

American Amber

This American version of an amber ale is rich in taste balanced by an excellent blend of Willamette hops for a great aftertaste & mouthfeel.

American Cream Ale

A light-bodied beer with plenty of hop character produced by the Hallertau hop. Very easy to drink.

American Light

A light ale with a super smooth flavor. This beer goes down easy, perfect on a hot summer day.

American Micro Style Pale Ale

This recipe is designed after the most popular micro pale ales. Good body, golden color and plenty of hops.

Classic English Pale Ale

A classic style that will produce slight caramel flavors, golden to deep amber color with a crisp hop finish.

Continental Pilsner

This beer can be enjoyed anytime to quench your thirst. A light beer with the infamous hop character from the Czech Saaz hop.

English Brown Ale

Packed with flavor, this medium-bodied brew has a malty character surrounded by a nutty aroma with crystal malts providing good balance.

German Altbier Style

A favorite from Germany, an amber colored brew with a nice malty character, lightly hopped for true German beer flavor.

German Oktoberfest

Golden color with a nice blend of light malt extract & crystal grains, medium-bodied, finishing with the Hallertau hop flavor.

India Pale Ale

Big, bold and beautiful. Plenty of crystal and victory malt flavors, topped with tons of hops.

Irish Stout

An Irish style dark ale with full body & flavor, with added malto dextrin you will get a creamy head of foam. Dark malts and grains provide for a huge taste.

Red Ale

A medium-bodied brew with a nice red hue. This recipe is as smooth as it gets. Nice balance of crystal malts and a touch of dark grain.

Robust Porter

A great dark ale for combining crystal and chocolate malts for a great tasting brew full of flavor and body.

Scotch Ale

Full-bodied with a blend of crystal & chocolate malt finishing with the full flavor of Fuggle hops. Great mouthfeel and full flavor.

Steam-Style Beer

A steam style beer uses light malt extract with light crystal grains that combine with Northern Brewer hops to complete a great recipe. Light color and medium body.

Traditional European Bock

Dark in color with a medium body and full taste. This beer is a favorite in the springtime.

Weizenbier

Wheat malt and Hallertau hops make this recipe a summertime delight that is very easy to drink. Light body with a smooth aftertaste.

Most label recipes make 6 gallon batches
Almost all 3.3, 3.5, 3.75 and 4 lb hopped kits require an additional 2.2 lbs of fermentable sugars such as corn sugar or dried malt extract. Corn sugar will result in a lighter bodied, slightly higher alcohol brew (maybe ½% more), and dried malt sugar will result in a fuller bodied (better malt flavor) brew.

*Priming sugar (most brewers use 3/4 cup corn sugar OR 1-1/4 cup dried malt sugar per 5 gallon batch) is required for all kits, with the exception of the Brewer’s Best Kits.
