Area events and festivals
  • October 15th - Live Blacksmithing Demo at our Winery & Vineyard - 10 to 6 - family friendly event, no charge, at our vineyard location on E Robinson Rd.
  • October 19th to 23rd - Annual Fall Brewing and Winemaking Supply Sale - get 15% off your brewing or winemaking purchase of all ingredients, equipment, books, etc! At our intown shop at 1022 N College Ave.
  • October 23rd - Advanced all-grain brewing class at our InTown Shop - Noon to 3, $20 per student, email Amy at intown @ butlerwinery.com for more info or to sign up!
  • November 5th - Red White & Rosé 5K Walk/10K Run at our vineyard. Also the GreensKeeper Food Truck returns & will be there to feed your hungry self!
  • November 5th - 8th Annual Wine-A-Ree Wine and Beer Tasting Fundraiser at the Commons in Columbus, IN, Noon to 6pm
  • Try a tasty fall cocktail recipe, Butler's Peach Cobbler, with our super awesome Peach wine! 1 Part Butler Peach Wine, 1 Part E & J Peach Brandy, 1 Part White Crème de Cacao, 1 Part Heavy Cream, Dash of Nutmeg, Serve shaken in martini glass. Garnish with nutmeg.
  • One of our favorite (& easiest) mixers for a refreshing cocktail is made with our fabulous Blackberry wine & world famous 7UP! Butler's Blackberry Spritzer: We like it 1 to 1, but whether it's 2 to 1, 1 to 1 or 3 to 1, you mix it to taste. Trust us, you will love it! Recipe by: us.

  • Jim was working on getting the Indiana Uplands established as an AVA for several years and it finally came to fruition on Feb 12th, 2013. Here's a list of sites with articles pertaining to the AVA designation.

  • Tom DiNardo, a freelance writer for Wine Enthusiast, Decanter, Santé and Wine Adventure Magazines, wrote about his experience as a judge at the Indy International Wine Competition and his favorites from the judging. VISIT THE INDIANA UPLANDS WINE TRAIL

  • Take a couple days to relax and wander Indiana on the Indiana Uplands Wine Trail. Come see us and taste some of Indiana's finest vintages on Indiana's first wine trail.
  • Indiana Uplands wineries are: Best Vineyards, Brown County, Butler, French Lick, Huber, Oliver, Owen Valley, Turtle Run, and & Winzerwald.
  • **Be sure to remember to pick up an Indiana Uplands Wine Trail Passport at the first Trail winery you visit. Get a logo stamp at each stop along the way. We will provide you with a special gift for completing the trail, a "thank you" for visiting the Indiana Uplands wineries. You will also be automatically entered in the Grand Prize drawing to be held at the 2016 Vintage Indiana Wine Festival.
